Before there was Gaga, there was Iona.

Okay so if you have never seen the 1986 movie Pretty In Pink, ask God for forgiveness! No but seriously, come out of your hole in the ground and go rent it! It's basically a teen romantic comedy-drama film about high school love and social cliques in the 1980's. Now, of course Andie's style is unique! I'll talk about her in another blog. But for now, the spotlight is on Annie Potts who plays Andie's friend Iona. Her style in this movie is sooooo...Gaga meets Madonna?? Her style is AMAZINGGGG! I love her 80's punk rock look. She was the epitome of street chic! Iona's fashion sense was ahead of its time with its punk rock/vintage appeal! Check out the clips in the video below! 80's punk needs to come back to the runway asap (maybe with a little more subtlety).
